FAQs

Azusa Collision

  • What types of collision damage can you repair?

We handle all forms of collision damage, ranging from minor incidents like fender-benders and door scrapes to severe structural damage resulting from major accidents. Our services include frame straightening, panel replacement, bumper repair, precision paint matching, and complete vehicle restoration. We service all makes and models.
  • Do I need an appointment for a collision repair estimate?

An appointment is not required for most estimates. You may visit us during business hours, and a technician will evaluate your vehicle that same day. For damage that is more extensive, we may arrange a thorough inspection. Contact us beforehand, and we will make every effort to accommodate you promptly.
  • How long does collision repair take?

The duration of repairs is determined by the extent of the damage. Minor damage such as small dents or bumper scrapes typically requires one to three days. Moderate damage involving panel replacement or paint work generally takes three to seven days. Major collision damage affecting structural components or multiple panels may require one to three weeks. We provide a precise timeline during your complimentary estimate and maintain communication with you throughout the entire repair process.
  • Will my repaired car look exactly like it did before the accident?

Yes, restoring your vehicle to its pre-accident condition is our standard practice. We utilize OEM-equivalent parts and factory-matched paint to ensure complete restoration. All repairs are supported by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
  • Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?

Yes, we provide a warranty on all workmanship for the duration of your vehicle ownership. Parts are covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Should you encounter any issues or have concerns regarding your repairs, return your vehicle to us and we will address the matter.
  • Do I have to use my insurance company's preferred body shop?

No. California law grants you the unconditional right to select any licensed repair facility, regardless of your insurance company's recommendations or their preferred network. While insurers may suggest their preferred shops, they cannot legally mandate that you use them. The choice is entirely yours.
  • Will you work directly with my insurance company?

Yes, direct communication with insurance companies is a core service we provide. We coordinate with your insurance adjuster, submit all required documentation, negotiate the repair estimate, and process supplemental claims when the initial authorization proves inadequate. Your responsibility is simply to drop off your vehicle and retrieve it once repairs are complete.
  • What insurance companies do you work with?

We coordinate with all insurance companies operating in California, including State Farm, Allstate, GEICO, Farmers, Progressive, USAA, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, American Family, Nationwide, and numerous others. If you carry insurance coverage, we can work with your provider.
  • What if my insurance estimate is lower than the actual repair cost?

This situation occurs frequently, as insurance adjusters may not detect all damage during their initial evaluation. When this occurs, we file a supplemental claim directly with your insurer, providing comprehensive documentation of additional damage discovered during vehicle disassembly. Supplements are typically approved. We do not require you to cover the difference for damage that falls within your policy coverage.
  • Do I need to get multiple estimates for an insurance claim?

California law does not mandate multiple estimates. A single accurate estimate from a licensed, certified body shop is legally adequate. Your insurer cannot compel you to obtain additional estimates. You are entitled to a proper repair at a fair price from the facility you select.
